How Do I Download Music on My PSP
If you had just made a purchase on your new Sony PSP and really experiencing one heck of a time figuring out “how do I download music on my psp”, well here are the guidelines highlighted in the following paragraphs. I used the steps below with my Windows XP PC to download music on my Sony PSP. The following step are not difficult, if I can do it then anyone else can.
I know there are lots of software’s available over the internet on downloading music on my psp but if you do not have any of those software’s you can use the following guidelines to accomplish the same task.
Before we begin, you must make sure that you have your memory stick duo inserted in your Sony PSP device. If the memory stick duo is new, format the memory stick with your Sony PSP device or skip to the next paragraph if you had done so. Go to “Home” and followed by “Setting”, use the down arrow button and go to “System Setting” and press the “X” button to select the option. Scroll down again with the down arrow button to “Format Memory Stick” and select the option. The PSP will ask to re-confirm the selection to format the memory stick and proceed to re-format the memory stick duo.
Next, connect your Sony PSP with your Windows PC using the USB cable. The USB cable should connect into your Sony PSP device on the top middle edge and with the other end toward your PC’s USB port.
Once the USB cable is connected to both devices, you need to initiate the USB connection from your Sony PSP device. From the “Setting” menu, select the “USB Connect” and your Windows PC will shortly prompt and shows your Sony PSP device as a removable drive.
For the first time connecting your Sony PSP to your Windows PC, the Window OS will install some new drivers and prompt to reboot the computer to mount the device on to the system.
Reboot the Windows PC as prompted, and when it has complete rebooting your Sony PSP will showed up as a removable drive. Depends on the number of drive you have in your Windows PC, the removable drive should appear as your last alphabetical drive in “My Computer”.
Open the new removable drive by double click it. From within the drive should contain only one folder called “PSP”. Open the folder by double clicking it and you will find that there are four folders from within it.
Look for a folder called “Music” and open this folder, again just double click this folder as well. This will be the folder that will contain or store all your music files.
Now drag and drop or copy and paste all your favorite music files into this “Music” folder. Your Sony PSP device will play all your music from this folder. It is important that you copy all your favorite music into this folder to successfully playback all your downloaded music.
Last thing to do is to press the “O” button on your Sony PSP device to exit from the USB connection. You can unplug your Sony PSP device from the USB cable and check out your Sony PSP for all your favorite music you had downloaded.
Now, enjoy your favorite music from anywhere, anytime and wherever you are.
